ENTERPRISE: How Can I Find and Communicate with Applicants?

This article is for Enterprise users on Staff Me Up. It provides a comprehensive guide to using the platform's tools to search for applicants, understand how you're connected to them, and organize and communicate with them using features like Trust & Know lists, Messaging, and private Notes.


Searching for People

You can quickly search our entire database of production professionals by following these steps: 

  1. Click on the Hire button at the top left corner to navigate to the Enterprise dashboard.

  2. On the left-hand side of the Enterprise menu, click on the People tab.

  3. Under "Find People," you can search and sort based on various filters including position, location, genre, and more. 

Search results will include profiles for your review. You can click into each profile for an expanded view of credits and additional information without losing your place in the search results.  

Understanding Connections

As you browse profiles, you may notice a section called "How You’re Connected" underneath a person's name. This appears because you share credits from the same productions. This is why it is helpful for you to add credits to your own profile, as it allows more of these connections to appear. 

To make reference checking easier, the full names, productions, and positions held by each mutual connection are displayed. You can click on the link to see the full connection history.  

Organizing and Communicating with Profile Tools

Every profile has four icons on the right-hand side that you can use to organize and interact with applicants: Trust/Know Lists, Contact Lists, Messaging, and Notes. 

Using "Trust & Know" Lists

"Trust & Know" is the list you’ll turn to first when you’re hiring, looking for work, or need help. This feature is 100% confidential, which allows you to curate a private list of industry contacts, valued former project teammates, or personal friends. No one else can see who is on your list, and the person will NOT be notified when you add them. 

How to Add Someone to Your List: 

  1. Click on the heart icon on a profile.

  2. Select the Blue Heart for “I Know” or the Red Heart for “I Trust”. 

You can access your complete "Trust & Know" list anytime under the PEOPLE tab. Under the "Do You Know?" section, we will recommend people that you can add to your list. You’ll be given three options for each recommendation: Skip, I Know, or I Trust. 

Using the Messaging Tool

The Enterprise account offers the power to communicate with any user directly from your job postings or even People searches. 

  1. Click on the message icon to initiate a 1-on-1 conversation.

  2. Write your message and start chatting. Users will be notified that they have a message.

Using the Notes Tool

You can write notes about a candidate (for example, after an interview) by clicking on the Notes icon. 

  1. Click on the Notes icon.

  2. Write your notes in and click on “Add Note.” 

All notes are only visible to you and no one will be notified.
